This artwork was created in a recent nature art class. Purposely waiting until everyone else had selected their favorite specimens, I then wandered up later to see what remained. It was there that I spotted this gorgeous mushroom that had recently fallen off of a tree. I also found tiny tree branch remnants which held a few dried leaves that had never broken free. I even found the milkweed seeds floating nearby. All of these elements symbolize “what remains” at this time of year, and their fleeting beauty reminds us all of how time waits for nothing.
